She is Webster-certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and continually strives to learn to be the best provider for perinatal care based on her clinical experience and evidence-based research. Dr. Weaver has helped many mothers experience reduced pregnancy related pain, helped educate mother and fathers to be on tips to help with reduction of labor related pain, and has helped with ensuring proper pelvis alignment so that baby can be in optimal positioning for birth.

Dr. Weaver is an advocate for women’s health, which includes perinatal health and breastfeeding.

Dr. Weaver has been helping mothers achieve their breastfeeding goals by diagnosing oral restrictions and helping to reduce overall tension in children so they are able to latch more comfortably (both for mother and baby). Dr. Weaver has firsthand experience with both of her own daughters having oral restrictions and is empathetic and passionate on helping mothers and babies achieve their breastfeeding goals. She gave birth in March of 2021 to her first daughter, who was diagnosed with an upper lip tie, posterior tongue tie, and bilateral upper buccal ties. She gave birth to her second daughter in February of 2023, who was also diagnosed with an upper lip tie, posterior tongue tie, and bilateral upper buccal ties.

How can chiropractic bodywork help babies?

Babies can experience various physical complications during the birth process, which can cause babies to have spinal misalignments and develop muscle tension. The muscle tension and spinal misalignments can cause but are not limited to colic (extreme fussiness), torticollis (muscle asymmetry in the neck where baby favors rotation to one side), and reflux. Chiropractic body work can provide optimal nerve connection between the brain and body; the brain connects to the spinal cord and the spinal cord connects to muscles, skin, and organs. Body work for babies is very different from adults and is super gentle; it’s essentially a whole body massage, which includes craniosacral therapy.
