Taryn is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), as well as a certified childbirth educator through ICCE. She obtained her lactation education from UCSD. Prior to that she earned a BA in Human Studies at the University of Nevada-Reno. It was after having her first child that she felt the tug towards working with expectant and new families. Fourteen years later and she continues to love serving families. Over the years Taryn has had the opportunity to work at various area hospitals as a lactation consultant and prenatal educator. She has experience working in the NICU, L&D and Mother Baby units. One of her favorite activities at the hospital was facilitating the outpatient breastfeeding clinic. She enjoyed the continuity of care she was able to offer patients from prenatal classes, birth and finally as new parents. For the past 5 years Taryn has had the opportunity to offer lactation care to patients in a pediatric office location and in their homes. She currently offers lactation home visits in the Orange County area. Taryn enjoys seeing the new family in their own environment. She is certified in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) as well as CPR through AHA. Taryn is a native OC girl that has been married for 16 years. She is also the mom of a teen and a tween.
